moncontour
A medieval village perfect for a leisurely afternoon stroll, Moncontour features 11 th century ramparts, cobbled streets and passageways. Two museums offer glimpses of the past: Le Musée du Costume tells the story of France through the clothing of each period and La Maison de la Chouannerie traces French revolutionary times. Moncontour is home to many artisans and to traditional Breton musical festivals in the summer.
On your way to Moncontour you can enjoy a drive through Plougenast and a picnic lunch at the Guette ès Lièvres grist mill. Better yet stop at one of our favorite restaurants, La Mulette, where the specialty is fish and seafood - fresh every day - for lunch or dinner. You will enjoy a very warm welcome and delicious food.
