loudéac, le quillio and st.-thélo maison des toiles
Spend a day touring towns near La Prévenchère. Loudéac is a typical French town with shops, restaurants and a lovely "salon de thé" for your afternoon tea and pastry. Relax with a walk in the Forest of Loudéac before continuing on to Le Quillio. Its church is particularly beautiful.
St.-Thélo is home to "Maison des Toiles" — a museum showcasing the local heritage of flax and linen weaving. The sails for Breton vessels were made from the linen of the Côtes d’Armor region. The "Maison des Toiles" in St.-Thélo houses permanent and temporary exhibits concerning this local industry that thrived until the end of the 19th century.
Come back to La Prévenchère via Paradis — Paradise! It's a village with only one house not far from a fascinating rock quarry with walking paths where the stones for many of the older Breton homes were gathered. And next to Paradise is "Enfer," but we won't linger there!
